Extreme Sensors

Anyone else experienced a problem with the (think they are called) G Sensors on the Extreme.

I ask, as I have downloaded a free flight sim game from the Play store, and I cant get it to fly straight and level, when the Tablet is held straight and level. Have to gold it tilted to the right (as if turning to the right).

Now I'm not sure whether it is the app at fault, as it is a fairly cr@p flight sim, or if it is my tablet sensors at fault.

If the later, i think it may get returned again.

If anyone wants to down load the app and see how it is on their Extreme, it is the Free Pacific Navy Fighter app.

Cheers...

If anyone knows of a calibration app that would test my sensors, would appreciate it...

Thanks

It's more than likely to be either the app or the custom firmware. I'm not in any way saying suggsy is to blame, but with new firmware comes different device drivers... can you test Temple Run?

Actually Kevin - can you provide a Play link to the game you are having issues with? Maybe then we can test it and see as well.

Guys, its not Suggsy's build I'm sure of that as the problem existed on the stock build. The thing is I dont know if it is the app, which is really bad, or my h/w.

The app (warn you its rubbish) but would appreciate anyone confirming if it is the same on their tabs, is

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... IuZGVtbyJd

Another flight sim (free) which also doesnt fly level unless you tilt the tab is F18 Carrier Landing, which is better as a flight sim. Can get addictive trying to land on the carrier. The link is

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... 2xpdGUiXQ..

if anyone is prepared to try that out to...

Cheers...

Ok temple run works on my extreme. Not sure how it helps me test the sensors though, especially as I cant get past the first f*&^(^ing corner :x

;)

Found this on Play Store... Think this proved my sensors where working ok... Some of you may have used it before or know of it... A few useful test features on it. Dont use the BlueTooth one though. I know the Extreme hasnt got BlueTooth but I just had to press it.... Had to perform a hard switch off :?

I tried the F18 carrier landing game. That seems to be running fine on my 0.8 beta extreme. I'll try the other one as well and see how I get on with that. As someone who flies rc planes on occasion I do like a flight sim :-)

Edit:

OK tried the first one now as well. It is a little ropey but also seems to work fine on my tablet. No real issues getting it to fly straight.

I wonder what's causing the problem on your tablet :|

Thanks kwakpilot, i hve played it again and it seems ok. Noticed that it says to hold back button to calibrate, do maybe i did this by accident and calibrated off the horizontal.

Say you fly RC planes, have you seen tje RC plane app. Can be fun. I used to fly the real things, Cesna 170s, Piper P28 and P38. A very expensive hobby. I hope to do it again when i retire, but the way my pension plans are nose diving i may be left with no more than flight sims :(
