downloading from micro SD on Scroll Extreme

Postby delly1984 » May 27th, 2013, 10:33 am

Hello everyone,

I have several photos saved on a micro SD card ( from my mobile phone) which I would like to transfer to the internal storage on my scroll extreme tablet. I can view the files from the SD card in the photo gallery but can't figure out how to 'save a copy' on my tablet. I can only see share options for facebook etc.

Is it possible to save / transfer onto the tablet and if I can, how do I do it?

Many thanks,
Delly

Hello delly1984, you can achieve this using a file manager, there is probably a basic one already among your apps but a good choice is E.S. File manager/explorer available here

Put the micro SD card in the tablet as usual and navigate to the photo's.
If your photo's are in a folder then use the file manager to find the folder and then do a long press on it which will give you options to copy, move, rename, delete, etc. Choose either copy or move and then using the file manager go to where you want the folder to be placed (making sure there is not already a folder with the same name - if so, rename the one you are moving before you copy/move) then complete the action using the options available.

You can do this also for single files as well.

Another way of achieving this is to connect your mobile phone and your tablet to a PC using USB leads. If you are using Microsoft Windows then you can open two windows side by side, one with your photo's in and another where you want to put them and simply drag and drop.

If your mobile phone is Bluetooth enabled then you could also consider buying a Bluetooth dongle if you can find one compatible with your Extreme, but this would take some time to transfer all the photo's.

I hope this makes sense, if you need any more help on this matter then let me know. :)
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!
