How to dump the Extreme Stock Recovery <3e>

Postby suggsy89 » April 24th, 2012, 7:04 pm

This work is based on the Yarvik Tab467 i purchased yesterday

http://www.maplin.co.uk/9.7-inch-yarvik-touchscreen-internet-tablet-android-4.0-ics-625190

This should be the same proccess for the Extreme according to the listed partitions

Make sure your Extreme is booted up normaly

To pull

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Code: Select all
adb shell
dd if=dev/block/nandg of=sdcard/recovery.img

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Copy to a safe place

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I had flashed CWM as a test, then i did this and pushed it back (although not the same proccess) and it worked perfectly

Hi suggsy,

To put it back, do you do this?

Code: Select all
adb shell
dd if=sdcard/recovery.img of=dev/block/nandg

I think my Extreme's charging socket is busted so I'm going to RMA it.

Thanks
Z

EDIT: I did the above for each of the nands and it seems to have restored it to the bog standard Ebuyer branded rom. Cheers.

Ooo I didn't think of sync. I didn't do it but it seems to have worked without it... for now...
