Based on work for the Excel
They are both the same, apart from the Touchscreen which is resistive rather than capacitive.
Thats why its cheap lol.

Uses stock Yarvik kernel... Base image here > http://www.yarvik.com/userfiles/yarvikf ... TAB220.img

Seems to work nicely so far. Flashed one Essential - now flashing the other.

A few notes: Google Play works perfectly - thank you. When you first boot it asks which apk you want to run and has a choice between 2 - one called setup and can't remember the other one, I chose the setup option and it worked fine.

Tested iPlayer with latest Flash from Play and it's amazing - no lag, jitters, freezing etc. I was even able to skip forward 20 minutes and it played without any issues or lag! Actually works better than the Extreme at iPlayer :P

Sent a fiver your way for a beer or something :)

Hi 3stage. If you follow the steps in this post: viewtopic.php?f=57&t=2581#p20729 then you should be able to get CWM installed on your Essential in under a minute.
