Unfortunately, Camera stopped working

Just bought a Scroll Elite. Found these forums really useful - got Play Store working on it no problem.

But the camera doesn't work at all - sometimes getting the error message as per Subject, sometimes rebooting the device. I've done a factory reset but no change.

I also get the occasional crackle through the speakers, so guess this one is going back to Scan as a faulty unit - but thought I'd check if there was a fix for the camera problem (one that doesn't involve a new ROM or moving from 4.0.3, as I don't want to invalidate my warranty quite this early on!).

Sounds like you have already made the logical decision but apparently some people have been having problems with Scan returns - see here: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=2776&hilit=Scan+returns
