Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use or install bluetooth on these elite tablets, many thanks again people.

Try using the forum search engine - I found 17 pages by just searching "bluetooth" - mind you you will have some trawling to sort the wheat from the chaff.
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

My experience doing the upgrade: I used the pdf installation instructions from Scroll and the pdf in the Update 1.1 file. Without being critical of the English in the software and I was told by Scroll not to worry about the Trojan report when unzipping and running the Upgrade file.
The procedure roughly followed its course although the update window disappeared. I kept the Vol button continually depressed and played the power button, mostly on with occasional releases until eventually the update started and final Ok window appeared after several minutes.
Rebooted and after a few glitches installed my Apps again. I think the upgrade is an improvement, the onscreen keyboard is much more stable and maybe the browser speed slightly improved. After 1 week it has very much settled down and seems more stable.

Downloaded update files are extracted to my PC desktop, as recommended. But I've gone through the process innumerable times, rebooted my computer, turned off my antivirus, started from scratch and got the LiveSuit window but not yet achieved the window that should say "Tips: Does mandatory format?" at which you're supposed to click 'Yes' to initiate the update.

The tablet is connected to mains power, I've disconnected its keyboard, powered it off, and of course I am holding down the Vol button and repeatedly pressing the Power button, but all I get is flashes of a battery icon. If I do as you say and mostly hold the Power button down with occasional releases, the wretched Scroll Elite turns on again!

I know the USB cable is good, it works fine for transferring files from PC to tablet. I think I've gone on repeatedly pressing that Power button for long enough, at least five minutes, but how long is long enough?

I'm doing this for a friend and am majorly frustrated. Any tips would be hugely welcome.

It sounds as if you might be plugging in the usb cable before you are holding down the volume +. This would then explain why the tablet either boots or shows the battery symbol because it is usb connected and charging. Try watching this as most people find it very helpful: http://tinyurl.com/7gq44mf It is about a different tablet but the principles are exactly the same.

Watched video, did it all again, same non-result. However I did note the stuff about the USB driver and I know my XP computer can be a bit choosy about USB devices so I copied the update files to a Win7 32-bit computer and started over. Instant success!

Thank you very much. It really was that video that gave me the clue about what might be wrong.
