Are you continually pressing the power button. I had to on mine and eventually the box appeared.
I am also experiencing the lack of loud sound

I struggled too. Read the guide. Read a different guide, included in the livesuit. Tried to read/understand the Livesuit popups.

Pressed all sorts of different combinations of buttons, either for a long time or repeatedly. And finally the PC saw it, just as I was about to give up.

Not much help i know ;)

On a related topic, did anyone's antivirus through up a trojan warning when unzipping livesuit?

TG

p.s. my speakers seem OK as long as I remember not to place the tablet on it's back.

Hey guys it seems there is a problem with the key-mapping on the Elite.
You might want to read this other thread where they are having trouble: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=2900&p=23212&hilit=key+mapping#p23211
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

I see there is a mention of a 'firmware' upgrade 1.1, where can I find what version my present system (ics4.03 kernel 3.08+)?
My on screen keyboard and text editing is not very user friendly! I get repeated 'hang ups' on the keyboard and web browsers. If I need the update are these problems resolved?

Try looking in system settings/about tablet - I think this will show you your firmware version.

Failing this, contact S.O. and give them the tablet details and ask them if their firmware 1.1 update is likely to solve your problems.

Thanks, Trashcooky, was not shown on 'about tablet' Scroll Options said on the website to contact them. I did so and got an immediate reply with links to the 1.1 upgrade so I will give that a go! I suppose must do a backup first!

Have you found the upgrade improves web usability and keyboard hang-ups?

I did the upgrade however didn't really notice any great improvement to be honest. Running CM9 now and very happy with that

Can't help with that as I have not got the same tablet - mine is an Excel which I got with 2.3.4 on it and upgraded to Suggsy''s 4.0.4 ICS.
