Google Play Store not working on Elite :(

It took me a bit to get Play working on the Elite, however it's actually reasonably simple. First find a copy of the Play .apk app (copies can be found by Googling - I can't recall where I got mine from). Then install it.

Once it's on your Elite it will update itself from the Market.

Works fine for me.

@BobC: I agree with you completely BobC, I suppose you might even think of this as clearing the first hurdle on your Scroll tablet android adventure.

It was a bit confusing as this was on a "replacement" Elite and the previous one had Play working out of the box. This one had the 1.1 update applied before being shipped.

I'm now trying to get the Titanium Backup folk to sort out a problem where it won't backup to the External SD card and shows it as "Not Writeable". It clearly is writeable as I can copy stuff to it using the File manager. Worked fine on the last Elite !

I can never remember how you test for this but are you sure the replacement is rooted?

Yes - there are instructions on the T.B. site for checking root access using whoami though you have to use a bit of imagination to use the instructions.
