I'm buying an elite but I need some help

Postby wahab » May 31st, 2012, 7:56 pm

I've mainly been thinking about getting the elite from here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Storage-Options ... 231&sr=1-2 as I feel very comfortable buying stuff from amazon, and its the cheapest I've found.

Why I've decided on the elite over everything else?

PROS:
-1.2GHz CPU (can someone tell me if its dual or not?)
-7800mAh battery
-great aluminium build
-9.7" screen (I've got bad eyesight)
-1GB RAM
-Dual core GPU
-Android 4.0 ICS
-16GB
-9.9mm Slim case
-Capacitive Multitouch
-This forum
-Flash support

Cons: (basing these on reviews)
-bad speakers
-Slow processor
-Bad screen
-Laggy keyboard
-Bad cameras

I do have a laptop, and a really good one but I'm thinking of buying a tablet just for fun, I don't really know .

So I'm taking my time on this as I'm spending nearly all my money I've found other good tablets within the price range but they didn't have android 4.0. Sorry I've asked loads of questions in one go this is my first post and I'm really excited about this. Hope someone can answer most of them?

P.S.
Is there any difference between the extreme and elite?

the elite has 16GB internal memory the Extreme has 8GB im shure thats the only hardware difference
regauarding other tablets one of the best things about the scrolls is the allwiner chipset as we have a tool that can flash a new operating system to the tablet whist in the off position this means that its almost impossible to brick it if you start modding so allwinner tablets rock

Does the elite come in 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 or 4.0.3? If its an earlier version how can I upgrade? I don't have an android device so don't know anything about it

if you have a pc you ca flash firmwares(upgrades) by a program calles livesuite can be a bit scary and they will not be official Storage Options firmwares (they are better) dont know what version of 4.0.x will ship with the elite

The speed at which new models are being released lately - the answer to the first part of your question could just as well be:
It depends which day of the week you buy it
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

Battery output is a measly 5000mAH, not the same as the Extreme and not mentioned in the Storage Options specs (naughty).
If I had known this before, I wouldn't have bought one.

Hope this helps.

Also worth pointing out that the model number is: T05A

It's an Allwinner A10 based thing. Some discussions of T05A things here:

Thats a shame as the battery is awesome on the Extreme - naughty S.O!

Edit: How do you find out the battery mAH? Maybe some Extremes are shipping with different batteries - would like to check mine.
