I purchased a Scroll Elite which arrived on friday and now find myself less than 48 hours later having to return it as its faulty. is there no quality control?

Has anyone else encountered the screen going white when in the middle of something? Giving a shimmering selection of lines that can only be cleared by switching off and rebooting?

The screen also freezes and then goes dark

Is it more or is it just poor build/quality control?

Yep, same here.

I've also got the 8bit retro option on mine: when loading a web page, it produces the same sound from the speaker that your '80s portable tape deck made when loading jet set willy.
Apparently, this whole post is spelt wrong because there is no native dictionary.

I sometimes get random weirdness if I use the tablet with the charger plugged in. I think I've read somewhere to avoid the combination.

Mine seems to have improved after a few days "running in"

Poor quality chargers - try a different charger.
