Ooops
Any clues on how to get into recovery mode and Elite using the volume buttons etc at startup. I have 2 elites one with CWM and one standard image. Screen just goes blank when holding Power and vol + ?
The Oops is because I have installed CM9 and the device drivers(for the Extreme) have not worked so I can't unlock the screen to reboot into recovery and go back to previous version of CM9!
help!

Are you able to plug the device in to USB, open LiveSuit and flash a ROM from there? Hopefully you have a copy of the stock rom, if not then it shouldn't be hard grabbing a copy from your other unit.
I did the same thing with my Essential tablets - installed a ROM with no screen drivers. The only thing I could do was to wait for suggsy to come to the rescue, however I had messed up ADB on it some how.
Is it the Christian Troy ROM from SladeDroid? If so then you could more than likely ask him to add support for your device using the ROM from the working one.

Cheers Piers,
Unfortunately USB debugging is off by default in CM9 so can't make any type of connection.
Can Livesuit bypass this?

Boot into recovery like you did previously when you installed CM9? Isnt recovery Vol-?
If you can, mount the system partition in recovery mode, use android commander to copy your "usr" folder from your backup into CM9 on the duff Elite, see if that works.

I guess the stock elite tablet does not have a recovery mode? Holding volume down and pressing power to boot causes It to crash requiring a pin to be stuck in reset switch on the back.
Also, a factory reset from the system setting will wipe most of the pre loaded apps including that useless bundled.market app.. Lucky I had a titanium backup!

I can confirm the issue with trying to get into recovery mode, it is different from the Extreme. I am waiting for a response from Tech support at Storage Options to check how we can enter recovery mode using the volume keys and/or back key!
For anyone wondering whether to get an extereme or an elite. I would pick the extreme every time. Work better with CM9, CWM , has a better battery and has a documented recovery mode!

Guys I'm pretty sure someone here has got cwm on their elite already, can't remember who though
As per the key commands to boot into recovery I guess we will have to wait for storage options to confirm this.

The lack of ability to get into recovery mode screen happens with the stock image and CWM!
Only way of getting in I have found so far is to have boot into recovery mode, but need a working touch screen to do this from options or Novotools etc

I have CWM on mine but I have to boot it into recovery using ADB because the usual method with the keys doesn't work.

Use an app called "nova tools" to boot to recovery, i dont think its on the market though.
My guess is that the keys are not mapped for the Elite in the recovery image.
