When I start skype, I get this message on my scroll 8" V2. I also have a 7" which works fine. I have done a bit of searching and don't see any useful answers out there. I am not in Indonesia, no connection with telkomsel, no idea why I get this message. when I try and download, I always get redirected to http://beta.skype.com/{various tail ends}
Any ideas anyone ?

Well certainly according to your Virgin Merdia IP you are definitely in the UK - so strange ?
When I click on your link above, I consistently get this page: http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/home
Your link consistently sends me to a UK page - can you explain more exactly where you get randomly sent?

Is it possible you have picked up some fly-by malware that is causing re-directs - have you got good protection and have you run a full scan recently?

It's an android tablet, is there malware around that might do that?
If I go to the skype for android link (within skype) on the computer and then type the url into the tablet, it then redirects on the tablet to e.g. http://beta.skype.com/en/download-skype ... r-android/

even typing www.skype.com redirects to http://beta.skype.com/en/

As far as malware and protection (i.e. Norton or AVG) goes there are two schools of thought, some say it can't happen others say it can. Personally I believe it can as I have had alerts from AVG.
It seems as if clearly the site is interogating your tablet and deciding its' language is not British.
I'm afraid I can't think why. Hopefully someone will come to your aid, but it certainly is an odd problem.
