@Merlot, a lot of people seem to be awaiting your full instructions on how to upgrade to 2.2.1 with everything working, once you're ready to post this, you can either post it right here, or create a new thread & let me know so I can make it 'sticky' for everyone. :geek:

Suspense is killing me too! :)

I have been doing some digging around, and it there are a number of peeps that have reportedly got 2.2 to work on the cherrypad, which as we know is a clone. There is still a question though as to whether flash will work, as according to adobe it currently requires a cpu with arm7 capabilities and as the scroll is based on a telechips 8902 arm11 device.

Hopefully when he posts the results of his findings he will have an update on the flash situation.

Cheers

I have also got clockworkmod installed - after a nailbiting moment when my 3 year old son hit the screen at random at the point where it asked which phone i had. It works fine now, i used the nanopad.recovery.img file - the only thing i noticed was that the volume up / down buttons now scroll through the menu, where before the volume down button moved down the menu, and the volume up button was used to select the currently highlighted option.

Is it just me, or do you get the feeling the screen is in this thing upside down?

Randomly seems to flip up side down in portrait for no real reason!

I get that impression as well. Some of the apps that only display in portrait have you holding the device upside down. Not the end of the world but annoying nonetheless. Makes the home key resemble a fat arrow and I keep pressing the volume the wrong way round. Wife also gets miffed at Facebook. You can view the news feed in landscape but when you go to the home page it automatically flips to portrait and its the wrong way up!
