Duff hardware button?

Kids had a Scroll each for xmas, couple hours use before they got to them (market fix, etc), once they had unwrapped them yesterday, i signed each one into a fresh gmail account and found i couldn't get back to the home screen with the hardware button, OR the touchscreen home button.

The menu and return buttons are fine and have a solid "click" feel to them, the home button doesn't click or have any feeling to it, just feels like i'm flexing the plastic mouldings with no switch behind it.

Is the a regular failure? Is it fixable?

I've already got to send one Scroll back for my brother-in-law as it's not charging, and this would make 2 out of the 3 i bought in the last week failures.

My excel home button is not great. It needs a firm press. Hopefully it will get better after some use.

Search for Button Savior on the web or Market. (Needs Root).
It apparently gives onscreen navigation buttons for menu etc.
Can be auto-hidden when not used.
It may just work on the Scroll's
I am waiting to test it on my Excel when it gets back from Scan's RMA

I had to send an original scroll back for the same hardware button issues, i suggest you get a replacement under warranty.

The original scroll was also known for non charging problems ( the pin detatches from the mainboard)
