Not been able to be on the forum for a few days, so sorry for not responding sooner. Glad you've got the SD card, makes life so much easier. About your questions;
1. Not sure but, it may be that the thumbnail created for the movie is stiil present, and that's whats showing up. If you can locate the thumbnail cache, then delete it.
2. Yes there are temp forlders created by Android on storage cards. To be honest, I've not worried about them. If you delete them, they just reappear.
3. Have found that as you say sometimes restarting a film in a couple of player apps I downloaded and tried would cause a freeze. I put it down to Android not releasing memory fully when the app closed the first time, and as movie playing is one of the heaviest draws on system resources, that causes the freezes. I just use the default movie player having selected the file in File Expert. That seems to work fine as you've found, and as with most of Android's quirks, I don't bother looking any deeper. Its a bit like when I remember using Windows 3.1, find a way of using it to do what you want, and hope that it carried on doing it!
4. Keyboard sounds substandard to me, suggest you send it back as not fit for use, and get a refund if you can or just take a chance that the replacement may be better. I just take my Scroll around in a neoprene case I got from this seller on Ebay;

I gave up carrying the combined case and keyboard from Maplin as I found it too bulky to fit in my coat pocket, and when I want to type anything on it at home, I just connect up a full size USB keyboard with which I have had no problems at all.
