In this thread guys we need help, the rom is nearly perfect, we need help to get the touchscreen to rotate, at the moment it stays in landscape, please please help!!!!!

Could you please explain how people can help? i.e. what we can actually do that will help with the issue(s).

hi sorry and thanks, we need the touchscreen to calibrate, some people on other telechips hav took a file called pointercal, its in data\misc and replaced the file on cm7 and its worked, i cant do this because i cant go back to 1.01, i tried djsteves custom rom to see if his worked but it doesnt, as in how people can help, i havnt a clue because im not a dev, was hoping someone might know what im talking about, its really really good as it is, just need the screen movement fixed, thanks.

didnt work for me but i was using warpedflashes buildprop v140 re-wrote the pointecal file but that brock the touchscreen
on my 2.1 pointercal was in /data/data/touchscreencalibration can some one look at this file and post the exact syntax
and the path to pointercal

yeah thats right, i cant go back to 2.1 but i tried djsteve 2.2 rom and its in the same place /data/data/touchscreen calibration, i tied copying these files and putting them the same in cm7 but didnt work

i dont know enough to say if the hardware looks for the info or the software looks for it
if its i think tere is a line missing in buildprob someone postedon xda

yeah if you use root explorer, theres two pointercal files in cm7, there's 1 in data/misc and also in the init folder, normally you put tweaked files in there, ie sd card speed fix

guys thanks to thread on here cherrypad is the same, i flashed the cherrypad rom and the touchscreen is working!!!!!!
just checking to see if everything else is the same and if it is then this rom is perfect for what i need !!!!!!!!!!!

and how could i forget, a MASSIVE THANKS to FUN for this amazing rom!!!!!1
