aeroalex

Have you rooted your scroll Charlie?

No - I am still being a p**sy

got z4root on the scroll, debugging on, a/c power in & on - just got to start to app.

then use astro to rename the files for the bat life increase.

Which order did you rename the file in, or does it not matter.

Sorry for butting in, I have completed the root process, I know some of you are dabbling in the custom roms, would it be possible to help sort out the marketplace problem, still having it, not sure what to do now :-s

We dont have any custom roms actually running yet :) but hopefully should do over the next few days. Have you tried rebooting your tablet since you rooted?

Yes, it still didn't work, I was wondering if rooting it might offer some hope of doing something to get the market working ?

select the z4root Icon in your app draw. You will be greeted with a Blue screen presenting you with two options.

I have 3 options

1. temp root
2. perm root
3. unroot

the 3rd is there as it says (not word 4 word) i have an 'su' binary so i have that option, is it because i have 2 root need app's already installed, titanium backup & android emulator?

Which one do i select???

Go with perm root.
You should not get the 3rd option unless you have already rooted the phone lol.

Astro does not actually allow root usage. you need to really buy root explorer. I suggest buying it as its a nice app but if you are a cheapskate just google root explorer .apk to find a copy
