turns out that as I'd renamed my original recovery.img file, that by putting it back to original and rebooting has brought my bootloader back to life. Still no sign of CWM but I guess I'll have to wait til someone smart works out the steps for CWM on the 052577!

Wil, i will be setting up a linux machine tonight, it's going to take a while but i am going to have a crack at it following Koush guidelines here...

only problem is....
it doesn't work...

Any further on with this , my scroll is stuck on loader screen after changing build.prop . looks like being an expensive door stop

i haven't had the time, but it has been done check this thread viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1390

just download original update from storage options, flash clockwork mod recovery in the tread above, then update in the usual way
