Facebook on my Scroll Tablet

Hello everyone,

I received my tablet yesterday and I'm still getting to grips with it! I have got the facebook app from the app installer but everytime I launch it it crashes. I have tried to get on facebook by typing it into tehhe brower and it crashes - I now use the Dolphin browser and the same thing happens! Could anyone help me out? I'm not very techinically savvy, but I'm trying my best!

Could you tell us exactly which model of scroll you have please?

Hmmm... ok.

If your browser is working fine apart from this (ie you can browse normal mobile web pages etc) the I would suggest that it is either a problem with Facebook authentication (which I doubt as ive just tried it on HRH's Scroll which is the same variant as yours and my Viewpad which runs FroYo and both work fine), or your Scroll doesnt like the Facebook app. Bear in mind that the Scroll doesnt come with a licensed Market so you cant update the app via this method. It is possible that the app is out of date (but then why would your browser not work?). The latest version of the Facebook app is 1.6.3. Ill see if I can upload the apk (setup) file for you somewhere so you can install it on your Scroll

Ok, here you go.....

Download the Facebook.apk from here directly onto your Scroll. Click the file and it should install it (it will say something about updating a system app but you can ignore any warnings) Then load it and try logging in and let me know how you get on. Any further problems or questions feel free to ask.
