Welcome to the forum.

Firstly, could you tell us exactly what you did that "bricked it"? We may then be able to point you in the right direction.

Secondly, would you care to explain this remark further?
is this a hard question ???

That remark was an honest one I didn't mean any disrespect !

Thanks for your reply Fonefixer in my noobish ways I tried to put clockwork mod on before I had root access & that's what I did to brick it
I know I was stupid  but I did it before I read up on Rooting androids first but I then had hope when I heard it's almost impossible to brick an android

I would be very great full to for any help i was trying to make it go from 2.1 to either 2.2 or better if possible

So I basically tried to run before I could even crawl let alone walk..

I have asked for help in loads of forums to no avail

So in short I ran the second cmd.bat screen on clockwork mod without root access to the tablet.

Once again thanks for any help it is appreciated. :!:
James

P.S:- Also on a side note, I now own a WM8650 7" 2.2 ENG Generic what is the best app for creating permanent root (super user) access ? :?: :?

I know there's a thread on here somewhere about installing cwm on the original scroll, I just cant find it

Im no expert when it comes to adb commands etc. but im sure someone who has the required knowledge will answer you shortly.

The backup you have, that was got off your scroll before you updated, right? What happens when you try to put the scroll into recovery mode now (without it being connected via usb)? Finally, did you remove the install_recovery.sh file before trying to flash cwm? If not I think it should return to stock ok. Ill have a think about this before brekkie and post my ideas a bit later.

Btw: What size is the banner you have in your signature? looks a bit big on my laptop  Any chance you could reduce the height a tad please? (the length is ok)

I cant get into my recovery to flash the old one back on to it im a bit of a noob as you can guess
If i connect it via USB it will only install FastBoot driver
it was the clockworkmod that causd this as i dint read up first & like the noob i am just hit the second .bat file before i should have so now i cant acess my recovery to reflash my backup / update.zip

So if any one does know how to help & can give me a step by step on what to do i would be very greatfull as said if i try and find the device with ADB it comes back showing none & fastboot comes back with a ? & nothing else..

& will change my signature no probs its 550 hight btw :)

As I remember Detection used FWDN & a ROM on his Scroll 7" and it totally bricked it - He tried a lot of things to sort it and various other people tried to help too, but it was the end of that Scroll. Sorry :(

Yup unfortunately that was how I killed mine.

FWDN completely wipes everything off the scroll and the files you would need for FWDN to flash back to the scroll are not available.

Sell for parts, or RMA - I successfully RMA'd mine and they never suspected a thing, I just told them it would not turn on one day, and they refunded me.

Thing is i was given mine but i will give it a go just hope they don't want proof of purchase !!!

I got a WM8650 the other day as ive heard they are much easier to root & mess around with but this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth

EDIT
As i keep saying im a noob
So as you see it there is now no way to re-flash this thing ? using a custom rom & FWDN or any other way I.E Fastboot (as i have no clue tbh )
