Marketplace kind of works...

Hi guys the marketplace kind of works on my 7" scroll resistive (v1.02). It shows up under my devices on the marketplace as 'Telechips 8902 Evaluation Board'. Unfortunately I cannot download directly from the market but have to click a link (even google works which links to the market ). When I click a link I get a box that comes up that asks me if I want the browser or Market to carry on the operation. I am not sure what I did or how to repeat it but it involved a lot of googling for apk's (like maps, youtube etc) and rooting my device and all of a sudden it worked. Hopefully it can be repeated on other peoples scrolls but it needs figuring out properly. I hope a 'really' easy kind-of marketplace fix can be found from this.

The main problem with the market not working on the scroll is because of the scroll ID not being recognised by the market.

Not sure what you did, but maybe the issue was something other than that for you and you managed to resolve it somehow.

Not every scroll fails on the market for some reason, but I'd say 95% of them do - iirc Charlie was lucky enough to have one that never failed to work.
