Just seen that too - That is really taking the mick - Shame on you SO

UPDATE: - It is now clear that the price change was done in error - by the people that SO use to maintain their website. All is back right now :D

HOODWINKED!!
i think we all know the Q&A was about market research the kind the info they got from that week would take months and cost a small fortune to pay a M R company to try to get from joe public and it would not be aimed at such a consise group its a shame that SO only thought it worth 10% discount in the first place
£130 impulse buy mabye £150 think long and hard

Hi
Well just to address the balance, the price is back down to £129, and discount of 10% does work.
So I have just placed a pre-order.
If they had updated this thread, it would off done them more credit.
Not sure how long they will be at this price, maybe Admin will update
Thanks

Guys i'm not sure what happened with SO price increase to £149, I wasn't made aware of anything, but I do know that Paul, who I believe is the marketing manager (not a tech expert) was genuinely trying to get feedback from this forum and wanted to give a discount to forum members.

The price is currently £129.99 and the code is working.
I agree with you all that it's not been very good, that price increase and the code not working for a while. But SO's website is handled by a web company, not themselves, and SO have not been impressed with what happened either.
All I can tell you is that from my personal experience with them recently, they are genuine and their intentions are good. They've ran out of stock, had website issues, and have no doubt been extremely busy. It's just not gone smoothly and has given us the wrong impression. After the xmas break perhaps Paul will comment on recent events.
