i was always going to buy a cheap android device saw lots an e-bay / amazon around £100 then i stumbled upon this forum
and saw the help and advice being given and decided that i would benefit from having the backup of a dedicated forum and paid the extra £30 £129 for my original scroll Resistive without this forum i would have got a cheaper one and took the chance. it paid off cos after a few months i had some screen freeze and F/c issues and wi fi probs without the great advice from the mods and users on here i would have sent it back to maplins for refund

Basically they fixed my Scroll

One of the deciding factors for you buying a Scroll

I was looking for a tablet and considering an iPad (I'm not adversed to owning Apple products!). Two things where holding me back. Both price and lack of user customisation (read tinkering!).

The review on the gadget show made me aware of the brand and the price and specification then sold it to me. Its not the precise spec' that I was looking for, but basically if it doesn't eventually live up to expectations, then it's no big loss and I'll enjoy breaking it! :-)

Suzi Perry-Gadget Show.
I was always going to buy a tablet anyway. The folks have Hijacked the Scroll so I may buy a Playbook as I like this form factor.
