@Mitre, here is the build.prop (from stock excel) so you can compare it to the build.prop you now have since adding CWM5

If you can upload your current one that would be good, so I can take a look.

Cheers

Cheers,

Theyare the same - I am surprised as I looked at the code in the CWM5 files and it looked like it was changing the build.prop. - I was wrong.

So I am inclined to think CWM5 has not changed any id's then - What do you think?

Just looked for the Note Everything App on market with my Excel - but it did not show up and then on the market via a browser it said 'this item is not compatible with this device' - However I sideloaded it and it works fine. (there has been reports of this by people for other apps)

I think we really need to work out what the device keys in the build.prop is telling the market about this device. Maybe we should try to change it to have the ID of a HTC Flyer?

What are your thoughts?

UPDATE:

I think (NOT 100% sure) this is the fingerprint for the right flyer, not sure what the "htc_wwe" part refers to. Might try it later.

Code: Select all
ro.build.fingerprint=htc_wwe/htc_flyer/flyer:2.3.4/GRJ22/102751.3:user/release-keys

Also more lines in the build.prop need changing too!.

P.S. Maybe there is a better device with 2.3.4 (and has huge app support for in the market and the best fit for our hardware) that we should use the details of to edit the build.prop

But I don't know what the the best device is, do you or anyone?

Cheers
