Hi all,
I just wanted to post some information about Storage Options' relationship with this forum for everybody's information. Hopefully it will assist in everyone in obtaining the information they need as quickly as possible.
This forum is not owned or operated by Storage Options
Not that we want to distance ourselves from it (far from it) but it's been pointed out that some people are addressing queries directly to ourselves, from within the forum. Whilst we will, from time to time, choose to offer clarity on some issues by posting in the forum, generally speaking we can't manage to reply to everything that is raised. It's too big a task.
If you have a question directly for us, please use our existing support channels as we can manage and prioritise queries fairly and ensure that everyone gets a response within a reasonable amount of time.

The forum itself is privately owned and operated and was created outside of our influence. We're very happy to support the community and frankly are very grateful that a bunch of enthusiasts use this medium to help each other get the most from our products, but ultimately, it doesn't belong to us.
Support queries and questions won't necessarily be answered if you post them here
Just to reiterate the above point. If you need help with any of our products from us, then please do not post here - contact us directly:

Why do we post on some issues and not others?
This forum ran for nearly a year without anyone from Storage Options posting anything at all. This was a very deliberate decision, in that we did not want to encourage "another" channel for people to raise queries if we could not guarantee everyone an answer.
In November of last year I decided to change that slightly and offer a week of open questions and answers that I would guarantee answers to through the forum. At that time I tried to make it clear that this could not continue
for ever. You can view the thread here:

And the explanation and reasoning behind the exercise here:

Since then I have tried to step in from time to time to help address some concerns and also because our support team has been rather stretched since Christmas and there have been delays in responding to everything. But as a rule, we cannot promise general support through the forum. Come to us directly.
I hope that makes sense and that you can see where I'm coming from.
Can I also take this opportunity to thank everyone for the positive comments we've received, particularly regarding the Scroll Excel. It's been really gratifying to see a product so well received and we're really trying hard to maintain this positivity.
Thanks.
Paul
