i have downloaded the adb sdk, i think i did it right as i was linked to a xda thread about it when i googled it.
i have downloaded those two files and put them into the platform folder.
i then plugged it in to my windows 7 64 bit pc and it tried installing it, a few things got the green tick but the Android one got a red cross and said not found or something like that. device manager has the yellow exclamation mark and simply Android as the device.
i still tried right clicking the folder and the running that first command but it came back device not found.

obviously i am doing something wrong but i would appreciate some help.

thanks guys.

Hi.

I believe you need Android drivers for x64.
Try these.
If you have got the drivers, then apologies.

Anyway, I have uploaded them here if you need them.
http://www.mediafire.com/?udbvpsqhd2hjheq

Extract this archive to a location on your hard disk.

Lastly, go to Device Manager
Right-click on your device, and select "Update Driver Software"
Then select "Browse my computer for driver software"
Then navigate to where you extracted the files.
The first step in being right is admitting that you're wrong

Ok cheers, thanks for reporting back. - I still don't know what the info in the file is for. Maybe it just does not matter and it's there just to get CWM5 on in the 1st place and that's it.

I got it sorted.

That last line in the terminal came up with an error but when I went to the recovery out it fine. I even did a backup.

Should I have factory reset and cleared cache etc our should it be okay? If I have to do it I will then have to do another backup.

Also do I have to keep that old recovery dump?

Cheers guys

Nice one marcknuckle

If you mean the one you made from nandf ? - I would keep it safe some where, just in case. Most likely you won't need it, but if you don't have it you will need it.

If you wipe you will lose everthing you put on so far
You really only need to wiipe/ and reset after flashing a new rom for the first time
