Hi.
On my Excel at least, once the apk files in my archive were installed, the Google sync kicked in. Then when you go to your calendar settings, your web-based Google calendar should be there. As long as you have a Google calendar created online.
I think that's how it works.
Copy the files (extracted) to the root of your SD card. Run Scroll Apps (Easy Installer), and set it to re-scan for apk files.

Hope this helps.

Fantastic all works and the contact sync you provided works too. I struggled to get the app loaded on the scroll. I downloaded it from my pc and put it in dropbox then loaded dropbox to my scroll so when i opened dropbox and did a scan with installer it showed up. If you havent got dropbox its free and great bit of kit. Also took a whle to find scan button on installler app. Press little tab or menu button and scan apps. Also used acalender app as my generic app still did not work. Thanks for all info.

just been trying to find on google this googlecalendarsyncadapter.apk 2.3.4 - and all I end up with is either 2.2 or 2.3.3 - Does anyone have this file?

Cheers

@blueeagle69 - Thank you, but both those sync .apks report as 2.3.3 in the android manifest and in titanium backup - maybe there is not a 2.3.4 version. The calendar & contact apps report as 2.3.4.

TBH - Never had to put these files on before, as they have always been there, so not really sure what the correct version would be.

I thought that too. I downloaded all of the gingerbread stock apps, and that for some of the apps at least seem to be the highest version for Gingerbread.

Well I take it that your calendar syncs ok and does not miss info out etc? - As long as my calendar works and syncs, that great. Not worried about the contact app, after putting it on, I think I will uninstall it, I don't like it as it puts a phone icon on the app drawer & that it is tired in with the phone related stuff. Would be nice if there is a 3rd party app that is just an address book, that you can sync with Google.

Seems to be perfect mate.
I rely on my calendar. I'm crap with Birthdays.
I also use contacts sync with Go Contacts EX for email addresses.
