It's not desperatley urgent that I get this sorted out, but I am having difficulty in getting ADB to detect my Excel.
I'd like to get Clockworkmod installed so that I can create a recovery file before going on to start tweaking, but without ADB recognising the Excel, I'm a bit stumped.
I've downloaded and installed 'android-sdk-windows' (and Java), added the SDK platforms and all subfiles, for 2.1 (API 7) to 4.0.3 (API 15) plus all the SDK Tools, SDK Platform-Tools and Extras (inc USB driver package and @Charlies modded 'android_winusb.inf' file). I've also installed Eclipse in case it was needed.
When I've got an Android Virtual Device running, I can see it with the 'adb devices' command, but I can't see the Excel connected via USB. The 'adb usb' command returns the following: 'error: device not found'
I've tried just about every which way I can think of to get connected, debugging on and off; and USB storage on / off, but nothing seems to work.
It's all installed at: C:\android-sdk-windows and my OS in Win7 64bit. I've also tried it on XP 32 bit and have exactly the same issue.
My feeling is that it's a USB recognition issue, maybe, I'm missing something in: C:\android-sdk-windows\extras\google\usb_driver - the files in here are:

i386 (folder)

android_test.inf (courtesy of @blueeagle)
android_usb.inf (courtesy of @blueeagle)
android_winusb.inf (@Charlie's version)
android_winusb2.inf (courtesy of @blueeagle)
androidwinusb86.cat
androidwinusba64.cat
source.properties
Or, maybe, I've got an incorrect setting on the Excel.
Any advice would be most welcome.
Thanks
