Scroll Excel USB access problem

I can't see any device connected to the USB socket.
I'm using the supplied lead and have repeatedly tried several different devices: a variety of flash drives of varying sizes and also SD cards via an SDHC card reader.

I've had my Scroll Excel for about three weeks and during that time, I have been able to view contents of USB devices on two occasions.
I've tried shutting down and restarting but to no avail.

Has anybody else had the same problem and more importantly, has anyone found a solution?

Could be difficult to find an easy answer to this as the Scroll could be faulty.
You say that you have been successful using the usb on a few occasions using the OTG cable that was supplied.
Is the Scroll fully charged - have you tried using the usb (i.e.) flash drive whilst the Scroll is on mains support?
An obvoius question is are you pushing the usbconnection fully home?
Are you aware that to use the Scroll as the usb host you must use the supplied OTG cable (or equivalent).
Standard mini usb adaptors will not work when trying to use the Scroll as the usb host.
