lol Charlie: I compress everything, which also makes it universally downloadable. Some system will try to display things rather than download them, so I just rar them to avoid hassle :)

please bear in mind you are trying an unconfirmed mod (my suggested mod) it seems to install the driver - but when you come to do the 2nd part of clockwork mod - you run in to problems.

lol - ok - far play -

it is a hassle to me - as the computer i am on does not have the software to decompress it. I will have to wait until i am back home.

Sorry but still no luck with this driver. Are you sure it is supposed to work with Windows 7?
Has anyone else with Windows 7 managed to install this driver?

I tried to install the Clockworkmod Recovery from the menu in Clockworkmod ROM Manager, it comes up with a list of phones. Are any of them compatible with this device? If so I'm guessing that would be a much easyer way of installing Recovery perhaps??????

I have it running on my HTC Desire (easy peesy) but obviously there is a lot more support for this as its a more mainstream device.

Hi All

Just a few though, may or may not be of any use to you guys trying to get clockwork mod recovery working...

Firstly, my scroll is firmware 1.00, and i am running via Windows 7.

Initially, I downloaded the Android Development Kit and Java which both installed after a long slow download (my wife was streaming video over our internet connection)

Following the instructions when i tried to install the drivers for the scroll, i too had the problem that Windows 7 couldnt find the drivers in the specified location. I had to install manually, by "having a disk" method and eventually It was installed as and android ADB interface.

I could not then use the adb interfact command line technique and so the batch files were kindly created.

These originally did not work i.e. when the scroll was connected (and the SD card not mounted), the first batch would restart the scroll, byt not get it into the white scroll screen freee which was required. This was down to an error in the batch file which was corrected.

One corrected the first batch file forced the scroll to reboot and stick of the white scroll screen, my pc made lots of beep and noises as the device was being connected and disconnetcec( due to the restart of the scroll). One the windows 7 pc stopped beeping (had recognised that he scroll was plugged in). I applied the second bacth file which went through fine and nandroid was installed.

This seems to be what everyone else who is having problems has done, however, when flashing etc, i always has=ve the power plugged into the scroll, not sure if this is required, but nobody seems to have metioned it (or i have missed it).

from all this the how to guidce was created.

Hope that helps somebody???
