Ok thats good the link suggsy89 gave you is no good we have had 3 bricks after using that So should take it down
Anyway you say you made a backup was it with cwm or commandline

using Cwm. is that what mentioned in my first post that shows as a img file and some other file

if you made a backup with cwm it will be on your sdcard in clockworkmod/backups and have a name like 2011-10-15.15.55.59
use a file manager to have a look in your adcard or plug it into a pc and look

if you followed the steps when you 1st put om cwm you would have done this then flashed CM7 so you have a backup of your 2.1 if you didnt you will have to flash a 4k image prob fom evilbobins on this forum viewtopic.php?f=15&t=779 post back before you use them as you dont want the recovery.img

just re read your op if you dumped proc/mtd you should have all those files that i linked to on you sdcard

you need to look at your removable card download is on the scroll internal sd

cwm has 2 folders one on scroll one on removable disk

av you swapped out the sdcard since you got it for a larger one maybe or you never did a backup? with cwm
i know i am going on a bit but just would be so easy iy you did have a cwm backup on sdcard some where

* How to install CyanogenMod 7
1. install ClockworkMod Recovery 5
2. reboot recovery
3. make backup of stock ROM----------did you do this
4. wipe data/factory reset *4
5. install cyanogen.zip
6. reboot
7. touchscreen calibration *4 *5

where would i find the other folder? the one im looking at is on the sd card
