Hi.
Great post.
Could Android Commander be used for flashing image files?
It has options for flashing update.zips, and an option for flashing image files.
A took a quick screen grab.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I was just thinking about Clockwork Mod Recovery.
Using the "Flash as Recovery" option in Android commander. Would it be possible to install CWM using this method?
I would try it even though I have CWM installed. But my otherhalf would probably castrate me. She hasn't forgot the whole Busybox debacle yet.
I keep telling her it wasn't technically my fault :-)

Excellent mate.
So does the bottom option that mentions image files, only take zips?
It shows Flash as. And then you have a dropdown box containing recovery, system etc.
Will have another look later.

I could be wrong with this, but the bottom option, that shows "Flash Image File", expects a .IMG file when you browse for files.
The top option, where it shows "Source File" expects a .zip file.
