I seem to be having driver issues with LiveSuit.
I have downloaded Livesuit and the driver from your link (Suggsy89), and it reads "LiveSuit V0.00" in the title bar, not 1.07. Is this right?
Anyway, I have loaded the image into LiveSuit, pressed and held the Volume+, and pressed the power button, God knows how many times. But LiveSuit just sits there doing nothing :(

I have checked in device manager, because Windows picked up the device the first time I did the Volume+ thing, and under USB Devices I get the following for the Excel.
USB Device(VID_1f3a_PID_efe8)

I tried LiveSuit 1.07 from a different source, that does read 1.07 in the title bar. But with this, it displays;
Install the driver fail! The program will exit.

If I run this version of LiveSuit with the cable connected, it loads.
Another weird thing too I have noticed. Or could be normal of course.
When I have quit out of LiveSuit, to give up, and boot the Excel as normal, it will not power up, no-matter how long I press the power button for. To get the Excel to boot, I have to hold the menu key, followed by power. As if I was booting into Recovery. Except it doesnt go into recovery, it boots the Excel into the O.S.
Once I have shut down the tablet, it will then power on as normal. Weird.
It's like as if the device gets locked, once you have done the Volume+ and plug in thing.

Anyway, giving up for the night. No ICS for me (yet)
I am running Windows 7 64bit.
I think I will get back to this tomorrow, when my brain is ticking over.
I've had a pretty-crappy 48 hours with family trouble :( So I didn't think it was a good idea to carry on with it tonight.

Thanks Mitre.
So going by USB Device(VID_1f3a_PID_efe8), listed under Universal Serial Bus controllers. Would you say the driver is installed?
I am at a loss as to why Livesuit just sits there, totally un-interested, when I have Loaded it, held down the Vol+, and smacked the power key loads of times :(
The image has already been loaded of course :)
I'll find a driver for Windows XP, 32bit if there is one, and try it on the other-half's laptop tomorrow.
I don't think she will mind...

I decided to give it one last go. And this time it worked :)
I had a few problems getting CWM onto the Excel (again) Why me?.
But I decided to push the install script and recovery image manually. Run the script, and hey presto :)
An LCD density of 120 is rather nice :)
One-last question.
I just pulled the build.prop, and the device name seems to be set to a Samsung GT-I9100.
Would it be worth putting it to a Nexus-S like we had it on Gingerbread?
Speaking of Gingerbread, does anyone know what this line means please.
ro.build.description=GT-I9100-user 2.3.4 GINGERBREAD XXKH3
Strange seeing Gingerbread in an ICS build.prop.

Thanks again. ICS at last :)
Me thinks I'm gonna like this.

Nice one glad you got it sorted
i just think livesuite wont be bullied and wants to do it in its own time lol??
i am using fonefixers ICS from here this thread is MOMO9ICS so its all different
my build prop shows A710
as for CWM5 there seems to be some confusion over the version and if it works properly i have got the one from suggsy89 .bat fille which was one of funs older ones. it seems to work ok? vol_up and power, but sometimes takes me 3 attempts to get into recovery i may change to funs new CM9ICS recovery FFs ics has slightly different button mapping that may be reason?

Whats the kernel version on this rom?

Hey mateyy

This one is running 3.08 fezzfest_Momo9c_ICS

I have to say ICS is fantastic.
This is what the Excel should have always been like.

So many options.
It even shows you what 3g dongles are supported in settings.
And Chainfire pro seems to work.

Loving this.

Right that's better. I'm back to my Super Keyboard Pro.

Mitre did you say that your hard menu key wasn't working in ICS?
In this one at least, if I long press then release the settings menu appears at the bottom of the screen.
I had some problems with Titanium Backup.
I just had a play with the build.prop.
I changed the LCD density to 160. But I didn't like that much tbh.
I lost the UI navigation softkeys, and the clock went back to the top of the screen. And of course, the telephone icons appeared.
So back to 120 I went.
I did try 130, but the launcher stopped working with that :)
Had a few problems with titanium Backup.
It moaned about Busybox not found etc.
So I went into Troubleshooting settings, and clicked Force System Busybox.
This still didn't work, but after two reboots it did :)
So I can now make a start on getting my apps back.

@blueeagle69 - I'm glad you've got ICS running and are enjoying it... which ICS version did you install?

What's the dreaded lipsync like?

Regards
