any one know the command to force shutdown in ADB shell (Not reeboot)
i have no touchscreen and cant turn off the excel
treid to flash a rom with bluetooth and lost touchscreen Help!

"reboot -p" works.
"busybox poweroff -d 8 -f" works too.
"busybox poweroff -f" works.
just gotta put the SDK onto my descktop pc now (long story) then try the above if it dont work will have to wait till battery drains as we cant pull the battery like you would in this situ on a phone!!

looks like you're good to go on livesuite i too cant see it in my program list so? still worked

@Mitre - Happy to help... 'Plan B' was to suggest waiting for the battery to discharge, but that could be a while if the Excel is not actually doing anything.

First, thanks to suggsy89 for all your effort, appreciated.

I'm on Linux, LiveSuit runs using Wine but doesn't detect the device (probably due to Wine/usb-drivers). However, in your post you say the English rar file is compatible with cwm. Does this mean the rar or the img or the img zipped and that rar/img/zip can be dumped on the sd card and installed via cwm? I have cwm5 installed and I tried a zipped img but I get a "signature verification failed" error.

You wont be able to flash this with cwm mate.
I believe he means that cwm will work with this firmware.
I think the clever ones on this forum are looking at a cwm that is compatible with gingerbread and ics.

Ah well, not yet certain if usb works on Wine but I came across [1] so it might. I also remember using nvflash or something on the Vega when updating ~ a year ago so will look into that later. Swapped to an XP machine to run LiveSuit and failed many many times. Then I saw [2]. Appears any button can be held while plugging usb in, which is a relief because I was sick of hold V+ So I held the back key while 1) pwr key for 2s then 2) pwr key repeatedly like fuk And... bang!... LiveSuit ask if I wanted to format, wey hey!!! Had installed usb driver on earlier attempt. ICS now booted... RELIEF!!!

ps: one of the first things I tried is the panoramic camera mode, real pity there is no back camera

to shut down the tablet via adb shell then flashed Suggsy89 English via livesuite
what a team we got on here thanks guys

if you use

busybox poweroff -d 8 -f

it delays the power off for 8 seconds gives system some time to close apps(not shure if thats necesary)
i couldn't wait that long:)
