How To "Flash Android 4.0.3 ICS" (Excel Only)

I most likely will remove the phone.apk and/or do a tweak.

Could you guys check to see in the "web google play" under my orders & devices>devices> what (if any) is shown as the network operator (Carrier) for the Excel with ICS?

Hello mate, you need to re do the build.prop and remove the "Performance Enhancements" at the bottom.

Those were test edits by myself, i may have forgot to mention, but they seemed to cause some glitches/stuttering in bbc iplayer.

I removed the performance enhancements, pushed the build.prop and it seemed to bugger things up. When I rebooted it just sat at the android screen. I pushed my backup build.prop and rebooted it again and from then on android play store wouldn't work at all. 1 factory reset later and I'm back at the beginning. Sideloading is my friend.

Is anybody else having trouble with the Calendar on ICS all of a sudden despite my fix?
It is now showing in Accounts and sync, Sync is currently experiencing problems and will be back shortly.
Contacts and Gmail is fine, just the calendar.
It is possible of course that Google are experiencing problems, but it's down since ysterday.
I even tried deleting the data for the calendar. No joy.

I have a test build.prop but will not be able to upload it until 10 o'clock tonight. It doesn't unlock Facebook or angrybird so I think Google or the app devolpers have made changes that are not currently supported? who knows. I give up now.

Just out of interest you can install the 4Shared app which in turn allows you to download various apk files including Angry Birds and Facebook which are both working on mine now.

I just talked my friend through the process on skype from rooting his tablet + flashing ICS 4.0.3 from this guide. The tablet seems another clone just like the Excel so no reason why it wouldn't work. At least its confirmed for anyone else who has bought it anyway
