i have to go out but if you get the drivers on and hopefully debugging was enabled on device you should see in android commander there is a terminal open that type the comands to delete the /xbin busybox
then in the terminal type
Code: Select all
busybox
if it shows version 1.8.3 you should be good to go
if not

then find the versions i said use commander to push to system/bin or system/xbin diffeerent views on the reasoning for this
good luck

Thanks for the help, mitre et al, I now have Android Commander working - whooppee!

Had v1.19.4 in /system/xbin, so binned that, but no other version shows up anywhere.

I've found umpteen versions of busybox available at busybox.net, but unfortunately no 1.18.3, which is a bummer. I could just try the latest (in /system/bin rather than /system/xbin), but which version do I download? I'm assuming one of the arm versions, but not sure which to choose...

OK, took a flyer on v1.19.0 armv61, put it into /system/bin and... it works! Scroll now boots OK again.

Thanks for all your help, folks.

Guess it's a glitch with having it in /system/xbin rather than /system/bin?

Maybe I'll try moving it about to find out...

Nice one glad you got it sorted did you use android commander UI to delete file or the terminal and commands?

Yep, definitely doesn't like having busybox in /system/xbin.

One to remember, then.

I used the commander UI - worked perfectly, just had to set execute permissions for busybox once pushed.

Hi, I am having the same issue. I followed the instructions to delete busybox, which was in /system/sbin, using Andriod Commander but no change.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Just saw this:
"I used the commander UI - worked perfectly, just had to set execute permissions for busybox once pushed."
Do I need to push a new version up? What and where do I get it?

Thanks
