I have come across something else I love about ICS.
I have 3 or 4 pages of apps and games (I know). But ICS still boots from off rather quickly.
If this was Gingerbread, another tablet would have been made before I got into my system :-)
What don't I like? It has to be the camera.
I don't think it's a framerate issue? I saw something about this on YouTube. And a Guy fixed his on his phone by editing the build.prop?
But now I can't remember what search term I used to find it again:evil:

Has anyone else noticed the default browser is very slow/freezes a lot?

Or is that just me?

Has anyone got any recommendations for browsers to use with the Excel on ICS?

Well I tested a 720p HD video that was in mkv format.
Apparently mkv is quite demanding, and in fact vlc player on the PC had a hard time playing it tidy. The picture had a habit of breaking up.
So after splitting the video in two because it was larger than 4gb, I put it on my SD card and tried it with mx player.
Yep you guessed it. It played as smooth as silk. I even skipped it through.
It was out of sync when doing this, for all of a second.
Well happy.
Ics rocks.
Just gotta work on a network location fix now.

Yep the video playback is miles better. And it seems to play my "Random" avi's fine. So much for encoding them properly....

So it was defiantely software/not hardware where the problem was.

Sangged a 32gb micro SD of Amazon for £18.80 last week, lots of room for vids ;)

Shame Netflix seems to be a no go, I either get a slide show or it breaks up entirely....

I'm glad you mentioned Netflix. I thought it was just me or my system.
When I first tested it, the picture was lousy, and played fine.
Then after a few seconds, the movie became a fantastic quality slideshow. Gutting.

Hi,

Your netflix experience sounds similiar to mine using the FilmOn app. It worked on GB although with the lip synch issue but on ICS splutters along for a bit then bombs out. I used catchup tv directly from the website last night to get my Family Guy fix and that was perfect.

Only cosmetic niggle is now I seem to have two identical calendar apps in my drawer but I can live with that as the calendar now works.

Great job you guys have done here.

Do you think it could be a Flash vs HTML5 problem?? Netflix works fine on my Galaxy S phone.
