Hi All

I have just purchased this off eBay as a return by Storage Solutions.

I have a few questions.

I hope someone can help.

The Firmware is 2.1 any way I can upgrade I cannot locate an upgrade for it
I cannot get Google Play - The New Android Market on it, it states not compatible. I have the Market on it but it hardly has anything. When I try to download apps it takes me to the Market and and icon pops up so quick I cannot read it the screen then goes blank for a while then back to the normal screen.

Can I attach a 3g Dongle to it, I am presuming no as I cannot locate it in the manual.

Any way to make the battery last longer as it seems to go off very very quickly.

When I did manage to go onto the storageoptions website and click on my model and firmware update it just does not load, do I have settings incorrect. This has been reset back to factory settings but not sure if this resets the whole system obv all data erases. Any advice would be great. I would ideally love to upgrade to a higher firmware and get Android Market/Google Play.

The other problem I have is when I turn the tablet on the screen is upside down but that's no problem as it will return to the right side after I turn it around a couple of times, my hubby really wants it for the Kindle which I have managed to install but I would love to take it to work with me and use the internet options. I have an iPhone 3g and was wondering if I can use my internet on my phone for the tablet, but again unsure if I can do it with an iPhone 3g. Am due for a phone upgrade soon so if anyone can recommend a phone for me as well that i will be able to set up an apn (i think) I would appreciate it.

Hi lin and welcome to the Forum

there is an unofficial upgrade to 2.3 gingerbread for this model based on CyanogenMod7 it will make attery life a lot better and you will be able to connect to a wifi hotspot i used to make my android phone a hotspot and connect to that for 3g surfing the ploblem with this {upgrade is that you lose Video so no utube or any other video if you just want a kindle it would be good for that as thats what i used it for also you get full android market(dont forget that android is moving forward so available apps for these older tablets will get less and less)
havig said that many apps work if you can use another device to get them from market then move to the scroll (get an android phone)
the upside down screen was a problem on this tablet just have to turn it in your hand i'm afraid

as for the phone i had a iphone3gs now have a samsung galaxy S2 its better i think than the wifes i4s and you can make it a wifi hotspot
