Someone said in another thread that it works if you open iPlayer in the browser and click the request desktop version button in the options. That may not be how it's worded, I don't have it to hand to check.

That can't work - and surprise surprise it doesn't ICE has default configuration code to overwrite window behaviour so am unsure why anyone would imagine that would fix it.

Well mine just arrived, looks nice although the keyboard seems slow as someone already mentioned. My 7" scroll was stolen a while back so I've been without a tablet for a while. Anyway google play seems to be working fine atm I just jut my google account in from my phone, its all syncing nicely. I wonder how long that will last? :-)

I just tried it. Works fine for me.
Go to the browser settings, go to Debug and choose desktop mode. Simple!

Got one of these bad boys for my sons birthday- what a lucky lad he is! Initial impressions- am very impressed!! Think I will do an 'initial impressions' post on the forum.

Only snag - as per @cantisque there is a little spec of dirt under the screen. Very noticeable if a light background is on the screen- ie light the blue sky next to the balloon on the default wallpaper... In general use you forget it is there, only noticing when very light background is in the area of the dirt spec.

As my sons birthday is soon I have ordered another and raised an RMA/refund request from ebuyer.. figured it could take quite a while for a RMA/replacement to process/ship/arrive over the easter period... Touch wood #1 gets the refund as requested and touch wood #2 has 0 dirt specs..

If it's just the one speck, they may not replace it. Their return policy for displays only mentions dead pixels. I sent mine back because it had 3 large specks of dirt and several dead pixels. From what I can make out, it needs 3 or more dead pixels to qualify for an exchange.

Good point cantisque, thanks for the advise, have now gone and read the returns policy. Am yet to count the pixels affected... I just assumed ebuyer would accept this as faulty.. Will try count the affected pixels prior to my RMA chat with them... To be on the safe side I have now cancelled my order for #2. Will work out my plan of attack when speaking to ebuyer on Tuesday.. don't really want a disappointed birthday boy... maybe I might end up with 2 extremes, not a bad thing- these things are ace!

It might be worth waiting to clarify it with them, yes. If your specks were like the mine, they cover a few pixels, yet you can see under it at certain angles that the pixels it covers are OK. They may not accept this technicality, even though they should as it's a considerable quality-control flaw.
