Just a qestion for people who bought a Scroll Extreme from eBuyer. Did you receive a factory sealed box or an open box? I am asking this because my last scroll I bought from ebuyer came in an opened box and it was not sealed! So I suspect it was a customer return!

The one I pre-ordered was shrink-wrapped around the actual purple box, so if yours didn't have that then I would say it's safe to assume the one you got was a refurb or ex-display.
This is not necessarily a bad thing, so long as there's nothing wrong with it. In-fact there should be less chance of something being wrong if it has already been tested.

I can only comment on the SO 1st gen tablet and the Excel - but both of the boxes were shrink-wrapped, so like @cantisque has confirmed that his Extreme box was shrink-wrapped.

Mine was shrink wrapped around the box, though the plastic moulding inside was a little dented.

I could be wrong but from what I recall and the description, manual etcetera. The tablet does not come with a mini HDMI cable, but I noticed that eBuyer then added inc HDMI Cable, so I thought this might have been a freebie (value add) thrown into the deal.

Not sure if this resonates with anyone, but I'm pretty sure a HDMI cable wasn't part of the deal so maybe this is the reason and I doubt very much it is a used/refurb at this stage.

I did read a post saying someone had a mini HDMI cable with their Extreme, but must admit I have not seen any other reference to one actually being supplied. I downloaded the manual from the SO site and it lists the contents of the box but no mention of a mini HDMI cable.

Maybe ebuyer has added them or it's part of the deal with SO & ebuyer, or it was a return and someone left their mini HDMI cable in the box or someone has mistakenly thought the mini usb cable is a HDMI one, a few possibilities there.

My Tablet came with a mini-hdmi cable in the box, and wasn't shrink wrapped.

I ordered mine after one day in stock so cant see it being a return. More likely they either added the cable, or opened the first few to check there wasn't any visible damage.

That does seem to rule out a return then. To me it sounds like you are right, they tested a few from the shipment and used there own mini HDMI cable to test the output and either when re-boxing accidentally put that cable in the box or put it in on purpose as they had opened the box to test. Total speculation on my part, but does sound possible, considering that not many people are reporting a HDMI cable in the box.

Fairly sure mine came with an HDMI cable, as I remember thinking "I wish I hadn't bothered buying an HDMI cable" when I opened it.
I wouldn't mind if it didn't come with one, as I would never need to use it anyway. :)

Ebuyer are stating on their website "Free HDMI Cable", which I'm pretty sure wasn't the case when I pre-ordered. It was only when I remove the shrink wrap (And I must admit wasn't the greatest shrink wrap) that I noticed it and then went back on the website as I am 99.9% sure it wasn't part of the deal. <-Not complaining mind you.

The manual does not state it is included and Page 22 has a note stating "You will need a 3D Compatible Mini HDMI to HDMI cable..." which would imply there wasn't an intention of including one, which makes me think a deal was struck and maybe eBuyer included them?

Well if there are giving a free cable, that is great, but for the life of me I can not see were Ebuyer are stating on their website "Free HDMI Cable".
