Excel won't power up and down properly

I am having increasing problems with my Excel. Powering up is very variable - sometime I have to hold the button for up to a minute before anything happens, and then it will switch off again immediately. I have great difficulty turning it off as well also waking it from standby. It dosn't seem to be the power buttom - more likely software related. The more I push the button the worse it gets! Any suggestions. Thanks

Sorry to see you haven't had much of a response with this one.
If all else fails try a factory reset but you will have to reinstall all your apps again.
