The craziest thing I thought to try is to get Little Big Adventure or maybe even Little Big Adventure 2 working on it via DOSBOX, but I think "there's an app for that" xD
I will stick to fulfilling the consumer role.

Ran the terminal emulator and typed su <return> nothing happened.

Not sure what was meant to happen, but unsure if this one is routed.

I downloaded Root Checker Basic from google play. Just tells you if it's rooted, nothing else.

just open the terminal emulator and you will see a dolar sign $ next to the curser
type
Code: Select all
su
you and then hit enter you will see the dollar sign $ change to a hash # (only if the device is rooted)which gives you sudo administrator rights on the device sudo=su
Code: Select all
exit
enter to come out of SU
Code: Select all
exit
enter
to close the terminal

the superuser app can then be dowloaded from play shop(crap name)after runing the update binary this will be installed on the system the app is only needed for certain root apps that requier the sudo admin rights to work properly the superuser app will ask you to allow "su for the app,you can allow or deny up to you to decide which app you give sudo to
once again if the dollar$ turns to a pound# the tablet is already rooted and busybox is aleady installed
in the terminal (BTW i use Jackpal pavec) type busybox then press enter it will show you what version of busybox you are running
DO NOT UNDER ANY CERCUMSTANCES INSTALL BUSYBOX YOURSELF YOU WILL KILL YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM

Quite a shock there. When I checked scroll apps is empty. No idea where they boggered off too... lol

Anyway, followed your excellent instructions above. Have version 1.18.3 of busybox installed...

So, am I right in that Superuser is basically a logging app?
