Well, it's on the way back to eBuyer now. I'm hoping they'll do the right thing by me and give me a refund so that I can rethink my options.

A replacement unit, if it solved my problems, would be great too, but as you say, there seems to be a high level of sub-standard units out there.

It's a shame, as the inital hands-on stuff was brilliant. The screen is fantastic - I'd compare it favourably to an iPad2 - and I loved the ICS interface.

Yes, seem to be too many faulty ones. I just sent mine straight back - a small scratch mark on the screen! I don't care how small - it should be perfect. Also the screen cover was not very well applied - things like that don't inspire confidence. Have they got experienced staff? Quality control needs to be better. If the next one doesn't has faults I'll get my money back!

There doesnt have to be anything wrong with a product for you to return it for a full refund if you buy online. Distance Selling Regulations which apply to goods purchased online give you more rights then if you were go into a shop and buy something off the shelf. You can return goods with as simple a reason as you dont like the look of it after you unboxed it or you mis-understood its limitations

I wouldn't expect the software battery charge indicator to be too reliable.

I'm quite happy with the battery so far, I'd guess I get around 8 hours browsing, game playing uses more power of course.

I seem to charge about the same time as I use the tablet.

My tablet has been charged twice over night since i got it last week (not that the battery had depleted to any huge degree) but last night i was browsing the net and i downloading a couple of apps, the battery indicator was showing @ 76% but when i checked the remaining time in the settings tab it said i had over a days usage left lol.... needless to say i am now checking it for a warp core signature :D

Might change my mind about it being to bad. Battery is at 60% with 6 hours and 43 minutes on the battery. I`ve watched parts of a couple of movies, youtube, played one game, dowloaded a load of apps and browsed the net. That was spread over the time with some inactivity inbetween. Battery app is saying I`ve got 9 hours of use left :)

I can usually get about 8-9 hours of moderate use out of my motorola xoom with half the battery capacity of the extreme.

Two Extremes here (and three iPads) and all work fine with Netflix and YouTube no streaming or wifi issues sounds like you got bad batch
