I have a similar problem with an external SD card. I have existing files on an 8Gb card that can all be read successfully on the Exteme. However if I add new avi or pdf files onto the card mounted in a PC, I can't see the new files added after I mount the card in the Extreme. Could I use the usb connector and download from the PC directly onto the SD card via Extreme?

Yes just have to plug in the tablet and mount tablet to pc on the tablet then you can open the folders on the removable sd card and just drag and drop files

Should have guessed it - nothing's ever straight forward with this tablet! Connected up to PC opened up in "My computer" and transferred files into folder in tablet internal memory since I've given up trying to figure out why i can't read new files transferred to the SD card. So far, so good - all files are accessable on the tablet. Tried to repeat the operation, opened up "My Computer" only to find now the external SD card is being pointed to with no way to create a path to access the internal memory as before. What's going on?

i take it your on 2.3? when you
1.plug it in to pc the tablet screen will change slightly and on the pc you will see a new drive(s) appear (in my computer) that is the internal card(nand partition)

2.drag down the taskbar(on the tablet) and it should show usb connected

3.press the button that says "turn on usb storage" when you do that your pc shuld open up another usb drive e.f.g.h.j whatever? that is the removable card

just navigate as you would normally on pc

Yes but when I first connected to the PC and touched 'USB connected' on the tablet and a new drive showed up, the path pointed to was the tablet's internal storage and all the associated folders. I can't get back to this but only a path pointing to the ext. SD card each time I connect. I'd like to be able to select either path but that option doesn't seem to be available.

First day here and with the same problem with a 32Gb card.

Will the Extreme still read apps from the extsd if moved with a file manager or is it purely just a storage bank and I'll have to move things back and forth?

if they are moved as in move to phone/move to sdcard in the aplication manager they should still work
if you just use a file manager to move the .apk to another folder it wont work
by "read apps" i presume you mean run the app

Yes that's what I meant. So what's the best way to move apps from the sdcard to the extsdcard so they will still work? All I can see in the apps application is move to sdcard, not extsd, The tablet can see the card.

seems ICS does not support moving apps to the external sd card unless someone has made a script for it ??

Thanks Mitre. Is there no 'Thanks' button here?

Just had a good look around the ICS forums and we are stuck with 8Gb which I've nearly filled. So I've a 32Gb card that's going to see very little use. Wish I'd known before would have bought a tablet with more internal memory. Will tell people to avoid 8Gb Androids. I know my SII does it with Gingerbread, what an oversight on Googles part.
