I also had a similar issue and have now managed to get things back up and running by using the system.img you made available...so many thanks for that.

A couple of minor issues now exist....Firstly my tablet is no longer rooted....any ideas?
Secondly the scroll apps that were pre-downloaded have disappeared - Don't really care about this but thought I'd mention it....would like to get root back though.

Use "Superuser" app from the Google Play Store

Tried Superuser, but it says

Checking current install path...Fail!
Failed to find currently installed su binary. Update cannot continue

Oh right, well that would mean that the "su" file is not in "/bin" and it is not symlinked with "/xbin", you may have to manualy push it.

i remember at some point when i was on GB superuser was lost and i could not update from the app i had to go to the chainsdd webpage and dowload a fix from there
BTW i have now lost root on my 2.1 scroll original 4zroot no longer works on it so dont know if some apps are dumping root priveleges??

I had a similar issue with the system.img suggsy made for me... no root :'(

However, I used his image to work out exactly what had been wrong with my original system image (busybox had been deleted from /system/bin) and reflashed and repaired my original broken image by copying busybox from xbin to bin - so a very similar issue to that symlink one

Can post the repaired image if anyone wants it?

To flash, you need the system.img obviously, access to adb, knowledge of adb and its commands, you would also need to be in recovery mode with /system mounted via adb.

Explain what you did/changed/modified before you try any thing to fix it.
