The case comes with 3 140mm fans (and a fan controller which is included that slots into any of the 7+1 expansion slots) that I will be using to start with in diff' configurations to find the best low temp, I'm aiming for a slight positive air flow set-up if poss'.

How about you start a dedicated thread on the build as it goes and we can add our comments, praises and of course those elements of rhetorical wit from (no names no pack-drill but you know who you are and we love it)

Cheers TC - That is the plan for the case & a PSU to last many many years and rebuilds. I might do a new thread on the build, would be great to get feedback/advice from you guys and of coarse you will have a good laugh at the mistakes I make along the way

Anyway it will be a slow build the way I seem to be taking ages trying to decide on parts. My head is spinning after reviewing so many PSU's. I think that I will get the Corsair HX650 (just need to save a bit more for that, unless I can find it on offer) for the following reasons:

* Has enough power for what I need now and for at least the next 5-6 years.
* All cables (not 24 pin or 8/4 pin) are modular = easy cable management, less excess cables about so better air flow.
* All the module cables are flat = Good for cable management & airflow.
* 7 year warranty.
* Has all the power connector I need now and in the future.

UPDATE:

I might go for the Corsair TX 650W V2 as its £25 cheaper, the downside is it's not modular, so a lot of unneeded molex cables will have to be hidden, I could live with that and save some money, but I really want the HX650.

Update:

After more research I have come to this conclusion, the Corsair PSU's I was looking at are made by the ODM Seasonic (apart from the TX650M, which is by Channel Well) They have 3, 5, & 7 years warranty, which I thought was very good as they have great tech support and customer services and will replace a faulty PSU. However this is not so good for me as I am in the UK and their European RMA centre is in the Netherlands, so it would cost about £40-50 to send a PSU back for a replacement, which is a lot of money.

Based on the above I would prefer to same some money and compamise on a few thing. I have found another PSU (ODM Seasonic) which is modular and will provide enough power for now (and for upgrades) at a very reasonable price, a lot less than the HX650. OK this power supply is not as high a watt as the HX650, TX650 or TX650m but is better than the CX600.

I will post back info' on the one I have brought when it arrives on Monday.
