everything seems to worl except that now the marker doesnt show any suggestion and the carousel of apps/games is gone. you can still search, but its obviously not right.

Phone apk files are still there (all three)

The phone files being there will be breaking the market... I need to get them deleted...
Will be back in an hour or two. oh can you also check you now have the miren browser installed

yes, didnt notice that!

I wont restore my nandroid backup just yet, so i dont have to mess about re-installing the phone apks when i try another update

Flashed that update, and the phone files are no gone (or at least I can see them).
The market has the same problem as my previous post, you can search for verying, but suggested app applications are not listed and the carousel is missing.

Just nandroiding again, then i will re-install the phone apps, reboot, check the market, and use the most recent update.zip file again to see what hgappens with the market...

Right

After using the update file (from as close to a factory scroll as I can get)

Phone, MMS etc have been deleted
Kindle book reader intstalled and working (requests login)
Miren Browser installed and working
YouTube installed and working

Market - still no carousel, or suggested app, but have access to everything

I would suggest that it has slightly less functionality that my existing system setup. Searched by BT FON, which I believe other users have had problems with and this was found no problem at all.

Tried updating google maps, the file downloads, begins installation and......packaged file was not signed correctly

Anything elese you need me to look at?

well atm I was just finding out how to get the thing to actually flash so this is good news so far

So nothing will download?
