Just tested my CWM image and it works fine. I formated back to stock firmware. Installed CWM, then ran the update. I didnt even need to factory reset.

Tried again, cleared the cache but didn't do a full reset.

All the apps and settings are installed, and no errors. I looked on line and the error I was getting seemed linked to contact cache information.

So far seems really good, only thing I've found is if you go to settings, then about Tab, then status it seems to FC settings, no big deal though.

Quick question regarding the build.prop. On the default firmware I used the allwinner app to change to DPI to 120, I find 160 to big. I've tried this on the new firmware but no luck. I tried some apps to alter the DPI and build.prop file, even tried editing the build.prop file but nothing seems to work.

Its only a personally preference so don't expect the firmware to change, but is there a way I can change it back to 120DPI?

Looking at this more closely, root doesn't seem to be working.

If I try to run superuser it errors, and es file explorer cant access root & system.

Duely noted, i will try to fix these issues tonight.. I commented out some stuff in the ram disk about bluetooth... So the "Status" error maybe because of that.

I will need to check superuser as my guess is its not symlinked properly.

Nice work Suggsy! Maybe with this the extreme will finally be a tablet people will recommend if they didn't already!

Wish I had the technical know-how to be able to do things like this/help out a little.

I do have one question to anyone who has the answer - If I use this ROM it seems evident I need to wipe data etc, so does that mean I should wait for a stable build? As I've installed loads of apps, redesigned the UI with Apex and I will lose all of that?

No probs. If your brave enough you can flash clockwork mod recovery for the extreme and make a backup. So in the event you wish to go back to where you was, you can, by restoring the backup.

Not sure i will have enough time to make any changes tonight. Wait for a more stable release, it seems i broke a couple of things earlier lol

Same here, won't be able to play until this evening :( Am very very impressed with build 3!

Suggsy, did I see something about Sky Go in one of your posts or am I imagining that?

Running StabilityTest - It's still going but at the time of writing:

Load: 5.74
CPU Runs: 22
RAM Runs: 191
Time: 33:39

CPU Speed: 1008MHz

- very impressed :D
