Extreme case / screen protector

only to realise, now I've got it, that the Extreme doesn't have Bluetooth (doh, yes, I know, I know!). using USB to USB doesn't work either, only charges it.

Moral of the story: "assume" makes an ASS of U and ME. Never a truer word in my case.

just thought I'd post it here in case I'm not the only dumbass around!

(PS: I't not real leather either, which I don't care about, but some might!)

bluetooth may be on its way with a custom rom they have it working on other alwinner devices so we may be able to port it to the excell and extreme

Hi DB,

Being a new Excel owner I got a padded case from ebay which incorporates a USB keyboard - it comes in one that also fits the Extreme - not sure if its what you are after but mine was £12.50 and I think the one for the extreme was around £17 - nice case keyboard works a dream too - if so let me know and I will look out the seller (UK).

Theones I have seen so far, I haven't been too impressed with, so I went for a standar iPad wallet case. does the job well, had to put a few more holes in for camera, earphone and mains jacks, but it does the job.

OK, it is not exactly the same as the Storage one, as theirs will have the correct holes for the camera, where I had to make some more. But that was a small task to save £14.

on the side the power button is behind the cover but works well through it. I made 2 holes for power adaptor and headphones. The SD card and USB is accessible.

The fit is perfect screen wise and a nice tight fit, so no moving inside case.

I think for he money it is great.

how did you connect the keyboard to the tablet as ive brought one to from ebay.. but the keyboard has a usb connection??

Your Extreme should have come with cables. One of them will convert a standard USB to mini USB. So use that one to plug keyboard into it and the mini USB into the tablet.

Thanks for link Kevin . I am a bit anal about holes being the right place etc so think I will give that one a miss. I think I would end up wrecking it.

I will stick to my neoprene netbook sleeve for now.

Not a big fan of the leather cases so bought one of a sleeve from amazon:

My Extreme fits in perfectly and it is very well padded with a fury inside that keeps the screen clean.
