Great ROM so far Suggsy! Loving it.

I got an extreme recently and was a bit dissapointed. Have managed to get this flashed on fine and its much better!

One question which is slightly unrelated - if I want to change the splash screen from the scroll one to my own how do I do this? I found some info about using bmp files and I have ADB setup but I am not sure what to call the image or where to push it to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Edit: few problems so far both when using chrome browser so I blame that. Once it hard locked up and I had to hold down power and volume to shut down. Tried chrome again and it reset itself. Avoiding chrome from now on.

Edit 2: just lost wifi then it rebooted again. Didn't use chrome this time. Anybody else having similar problems?

Edit 3: Been using it a bit more over the weekend and it hasn't locked up once since Friday - i have re-flashed since then so maybe something was a bit screwed and got fixed with the re-flash. The only thing that seems to crash now is Play store on quite a regular basis.

Now, with your rom update, I fear I will never be allowed to fiddle with the tablet again!

Cheers mate. Let me know if you want me to try anything in particular. Google Talk video chat worked fine yesterday, so did the back camera.

Force closes and wifi drops.. never had that issue still on stock rom 4.0.3 you probably have a dodgy tablet you should of requested an exchange my first one had constant force closes and sometime's lost signal but since they replaced it it's never once had an issue all you have done now is void your warranty

Un-true. Just because we have "upgraded" our device does not mean we have voided our warranty. Its only software based anyway. If we need to return our device we can just flash back to stock. No one will be the wiser. Why? The rom does not modify the boot loader where as some other roms do. The rom I have put together is as stock as I can get it. All be it apart from the stock wallpaper.

Yay that's good news Suggsy. Looking forward to the next release. Battery life is my main issue at the moment. I broke my charger so am having to charge by USB so the more life I can get out of it the better!

Yeah i noticed the battery drain is a major problem.
Over all the rom seems stable enough at the moment, and it is a good base rom to work on.

My long term plan is to build a new kernel from source, optimised for speed, but not so power hungry...

In the mean time im going to try a different kernel, that means that i will have to swap out alot, maybe all the libs, so i may end up breaking a few things first.. i will test my build and report back.

Maybe a day or two... Ive got a busy week ahead of me in work, and ive started at the gym too so i dont know when the next release will be...

Cheers guys.

Definitely a good base. Much better than stock already i think, to the point that i would rather use it than reflash back to stock.

Let me know if you want me to test anything in particular.
